The Hon'ble Chief Minister of TamilNadu has made an announcement under Rule 110 of the TamilNadu Legislative Assembly Rules on the floor of the Assembly on 20-02-2016 as follows:-
(i) A monthly pension of Rs.1000/-is given to the Differently Abled Persons. To obtain this benefit the percentage of Disability has been fixed as 60%. To avail the benefit the percentage of Disability will be reduced to 40%. Due to this all Differently Abled Persons with 40% Disability can avail the benefit.
